Looking for something to read post-Hunger Games? Check out this great map. Whatever it was that you liked about Hunger Games (or other dystopia/science fiction/fantasy novels), you can find here!

DYSTOPIAN HEAVEN

Praise the person who had created this post

Those first three books are awesome. Especially Divergent and The Maze Runner. Holy heck, yes.

Agreed. Uglies and Cinder are also quite good, especially Uglies.

kN lkjBDHLKDSJ ;LJbu You know what, fuck it. Text to speech on my Kindle isn’t THAT bad. It can’t be worse than this level of confusion.

Listening to I, Jedi (which I own, despite it being :shudder: abridged) and it’s so very much my favorite Star Wars book. I have such Corran Horn feels. Like, I can’t even deal with it. I wish I could have an unabridged copy. Someday. SOMEDAY.

I know I talk about Newsflesh like it’s all that, and it is, but if Newsflesh makes me feel alive, Elantris is balm for my troubled soul. No one else loves it like I do, but it’s my favorite Sanderson book.

How can you not love it? It has far off places, daring sword fights, magic spells, a prince in disguise!

“Fuzzy didn’t miss a beat.”
Well.

“Ah, he had hit the jackpot with all this.” LMFAO this is amazing.

“So well intended, yet so insulting.” LMFAOOO

“If you choose to accept the job, I can assure you that my employer would appreciate having someone who can care for the tiger better than I can.”
Personally, I think I win this one.

“His side flared with pain, and he uttered a short grunt.”
LMAO

“Why?” asked Marvin dolefully.
goddammit

“The text on the side is Latin, non timebo mala.”
I’m cool with it.

Finnegan’s Wake:
“Have you hear of one Humpty Dumpty
How he fell with a roll and a rumble
And curled up like Lord Olofa Crumple
But the but of the Magazine Wall,
     (Chorus) Of the Magazine Wall,
                  Hump, helmet and all?”
Uh, what?
This is what I get for keeping Finnegan’s Wake on my desk.  This is what I get.

As thou dost, Antony; he hears no music.
Julius Caesar wot.

“would you like some more green beans?”

“He may be short, but he has a big, powerful voice.”

“Next came Ser Horas Redwyne’s Turn.” so I’m a whore?….

“The history of Europe began in the fourth century BCE with the ancient Greeks, who organized themselves into city-states and developed a polytheistic religion, written language, and forms of expression in both visual arts and literature (lyric poetry, epics, and dramas).”
GOOD.

It’s either

…turning what should have been a simple exercize into something better performed by a circus acrobat.

or

Fine; if it wanted to be that way, I would improvise.

I’m happy with either one. God Great Pumpkin bless you, Seanan McGuire.

help I can’t stop reading books about teenaged grim reapers

anyway goodnight Tumblr I love you

Is it Soul Screamers? Because if it’s Soul Screamers I am there with you. I read half the series in a day and was almost wailing myself by the end of the latest book.

Mira Grant/Seanan McGuire does this to me.  Constantly.  Feed was bad.  Deadline nearly killed me.

This. All of this. Wrath of Weddings, Feed and Deadline. All of them.

I’m filing this template under generally useful. I’m also seriously considering plastering my wall with them.
