Headcanon: Dirk made Dave an Applejack footie pajama to go with his Rainbow Dash one when Dave was a baby. Since Dave really loves apple juice, and since AJ is her nickname, he thought it’d be cute.

Before Dave mastered the whole cool kid demeanor thing, they watch My Little Pony together…and Dave would giggle and clap his hands whenever AJ was onscreen. Dirk thought it was the damned cutest thing ever.

Also, (only fer this AU haha~) because of this and the number of plushies that Dirk left lying around, his secret intention was to make Dave the master of cuddle piles.

It totally worked.

She gave me quite the blank canvas regarding what to draw so I sent her a list of ideas and she picked out two - as it happened, her choices were my faves too!
