MARVEL PANEL OF THE DAY
Never get too close to Wolverine.
Full of weird things that make me happy ~ Erin ~ ♓ ~ Prospit Dreamer ~ Rogue of Mind
Finally done with this! I did a dress design based on Phoenix’s costume (originally designed by Dave Cockrum) - I imagine in real life the phoenix logo on her chest will be embroidered in beads, as do the gold details on her sleeve.
This kinda took me forever. I’m terrible with backgrounds - I tend to make them very cluttered, so it took quite a while to clean everything up so she will be the focus of the artwork.
EDIT: Fixed the birds and got rid of some of the stars.
My local kids’ bookstore was giving these bookmarks out today.
Notice anyone missing?
They were giving these out a WisCon last weekend too. WisCon being the feminist Science Fiction and Fantasy convention. Marvel sent “Save The Date” cards for Northstar’s wedding.

I wanted to pick one panel from DOROTHY AND THE WIZARD IN OZ #1 to post, but I just couldn’t. So I picked five. Five great reasons to pick up the issue by Eric Shanower and Skottie Young, which goes on sale September 28, 2011.
And you should also read our latest Psych Ward article about the Wizard of Oz, written by Tim Stevens, “a Psy D candidate and practicum trainee at a community mental health facility and has experience in working with individuals dealing with PTSD.”
Also, I now want a book about cats written and drawn by Skottie. Like, a 250 page adventure story.
OOOOOOOOZZZZZZ!!!! OZ! It’s my favorite thing. Now and forever. I own every issue, most of them in three formats (floppy, hardcover and softcover)Source: marvel.com
