March 8 2012 is International Women’s Day, and this year’s theme is “Connecting Girls, Inspiring Futures”.

Over the past year, I found myself forming friendships and a connection with other girls who share the same love for comic book characters (yes females DO read comics too!) as I do.

Each one of these ladies have also inspired me one way or another.

So I’m thinking, in my grand “Lion King is actually about the Batfam” concept that Timon and Pumba must be Kon and Bart. I was thinking someone else, but it’s really gotta be them. Then once Tim grows up turns into Dick (he’s Jason for like a second during the growing up montage) they can be Wally and Roy. Yep.

This was back before DCNu, even before they came back to life.  I really like this picture; the costumes are pretty cool.  I would love to read a comic based on Kon and Bart adventures through time and the afterlife.

These are really cool! That Impulse symbol gives me all the good feelings and wow, you guys, that is Kon.

Happy Halloweekend! From now until Monday night, all the posts will be Halloween themed! Start looking forward to skeletons in costumes right now, I tell you what.

I am a sucker for sidekicks dressed up as their mentors, especially when the clothes are clearly too big for them.

Little things to love: Tim’s bat-bag, Mxyzpltk’s Dr. Evil pose, Bart’s rock, Tim’s :V, Kon’s hair (always Kon’s hair!)

Also, check out Kon’ freakishly long arms, freakishly large thighs and Bart’s freakishly big boots. Perspective is a fickle mistress.

You know this cover isn’t an accurate portrayal of YJ halloween costumes because Tim would be dressed up as Dick or Jason if it were.
