I’ve been wondering why Jade hasn’t been a bigger part of the dream bubble scene. I mean, she’s established as one of the best dreamers, capable of shaping the lives of herself and her friends and associates for years, if not centuries. Then her dream self dies and she gets access to the dream bubbles and she eventually likes that even better.
Then she leaves the universe and despite still having access to the dream bubbles (as we see when John gets knocked out and saves Roxy from Meenah) we don’t see Jade at all. Anywhere.
Now it could be that the dream bubbles are just keeping them apart, like they did with Meenah and Aranea, but then why let John in that one time? I can buy John being stymied by the dream bubbles, if they wanted to keep him away from the others, but not Jade. Jade is smart, capable, and experienced. I couldn’t figure out what would keep her from hanging out in the dream bubbles with the others.
Then she talked about dating Davesprite.
I remember being 14 and I remember my best friend (at the time) ignoring me for MONTHS because she had a boyfriend. That’s a thing that happens when you’re 14.
So, maybe Davesprite was the reason Jade hasn’t been dreaming much. And maybe he figured it out. And maybe that’s why he broke up with her. Maybe. It makes my JadeDavesprite shippers feel better anyway.
